Bramble Puukko
A little puukko perfect to take rambling in the forest. The blade is forged from laminated 1080 and 15N20 steel with a core of high carbon steel from an antique file. The handle is made from a mystery Australian hardwood burl with deer antler and a solid wrought iron bolster. The sheathe is made from matching burl wood and tooled leather, with kangaroo hide braiding.
Musk Daisy Puukko
A traditional form Puukko, the blade has a jacket of handmade pattern-welded nickel and steel, and a carbon steel core made from an antique Swedish file. The handle is Musk Daisy burl and thick leather sourced from an antique drive belt, with bronze spacers and brass bolsters. The sheathe is veg-tanned leather with kangaroo hide lacework. For a puukko it is on the larger side, with a 5 inch long handle and a 6 inch blade. There is a simple elegance to this knife, I'm happy with the way it turned out.
Woman's Knife
Though they are commonly known today as ‘blacksmith’s knives’, knives such as these are often termed in an historical context as ‘women’s knives’. Functional, no-nonsense domestic tools, as distinct from blades made for show, or to intimidate as a weapon. This example was forged from a large ‘Frost’ brand antique file, with a long blade which would function well as a carving knife, and look quite neat hanging above the hearth.
Fens Knife
A light and sturdy belt knife, with a forged blade consisting of layers of recycled handsaw blade and wrought iron, with a core of antique file steel. The handle is carved from a nicely figured piece of mystery hardwood. The sheath features leather lacework and a brass leaf ornament
Redgum Belt Knife
The blade for this rugged bush knife was forged from 80CRV2 steel. The handle has bolsters from recycled brass and features woods from the heart of an old River Redgum.
Puukko, green
The blade for this puukko was forged from a coil spring, and has vinework carved into the spine. The handle is dyed maple burl, and reindeer antler, with bronze fittings.
Stockmans Knife
A belt knife made for a stockman. The Nessmuk style blade was forged from antique carriage spring steel, and the handle is made from antique leather and Jarrah.
Primitive Puukko, blue
The blade on this puukko was forged from coil spring. The handle is carved reindeer antler, Mulga, and dyed buckeye burl.The braided belt loop has a handcarved Mulga bead.
Custom Damascus Puukko
This handy little knife was commissioned by collector and friend. The blade is stainless steel san mai damascus, and the handle is Mulga, deer antler, and Brown Mallee burl.
Tassie Devil Penknife
While volunteering on Tassie Devil conservation project, a conservatioinist gave me the remains of an old Wenger Swiss army knife they had found in the bush. Although it was well chewed, I managed to restore it to functionality and happily handed it back.
Carriage Spring Camp Knife
I forged this blade as a quick test of some antique steel, some leaf springs from on old horse carriage. It turned into one of my favourite knives. The handle is Red Mallee and leather from an antique drive belt.
Railroad Spike Letter Openers
A complementary pair of letter openers, made on commission from a rail man.
Odin Kiridashi
A pair of marking knives custom made for a picture framer. The blades are ground from an antique file, and feature piercework ravens and filework roping along the edges. The sheath is made of carved Ebony and tolled and laced leatherwork.
Hobby Hunting Knife
A full tang knife with a blade forged from a recycled bearing race. The handle is a mix of Australian hardwoods and the sheath sports kangaroo hide lacing and simple carving of an Australian Hobby.

The Highland Kau
A sgian dubh made for a friend. The blade is an antique file. The handle and sheathe are carved from vintage Mulga wood, with silver and cowhorn fittings, and a tumbled aquamarine set in the pommel.
Leaf Puukko
The blade on this knife has an antique file for a core with a coarse wrought iron jacket. The handle is Brown Mallee Root, reindeer antler and green dyed Maple. The sheathe was a different style I wanted to try out.
Green and Black Puukko
A puukko with simple leaf carvings. The blade was forged from spring steel, and the handle is dyed Messmate burl, Bog Oak and reindeer antler.
Aussie Kukri
I call it a Kukriburra. An Aussie style Kukri knife. Blade forged from leaf spring with a Redgum and brass handle
Riding Knife
An everyday belt knife made for a horse trainer. The blade is forged from an antique file, and the handle is a composite of Cherry, Jarrah, leather, and bronze.
